What we know about stabbing on bus near University of Michigan in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A woman was stabbed Wednesday on a bus in between the University of Michigan’s central and north campuses.

The stabbing happened before 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Fuller Road, which is just south of U of M’s North Campus and northeast of the Central Campus.

Police said a 25-year-old woman was stabbed on an Ann Arbor Area Transit Authority bus. She is not a University of Michigan student, officials said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. No other information about her condition was provided.

Ann Arbor police said one person has been taken into custody.

Everyone is asked to avoid the area while officers investigate.
