32-year-old man shoots Chipotle employee inside Southfield restaurant

21-year-old man listed in stable condition

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Officials say a 32-year-old man has shot a Chipotle employee inside the Southfield restaurant.

The shooting occurred on Friday (April 5) at 6:52 p.m. in the 26147 block of Evergreen Road.

Police say the Chipotle employee, who is a 21-year-old man from Detroit, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

The wound was non-life threatening, but he was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Officials say after the shooting, the 32-year-old customer from Detroit fled the restaurant but was located and arrested without incident by Southfield police.
