TROY, Mich. – No one was injured Saturday, April 6, when a vehicle drove through a house in Troy.
It happened at a home near the intersection of Maple and Dequindre roads. According to authorities, emergency crews responding to the scene found that the vehicle stopped in the backyard after passing through the home and hitting a shed. Crews with the Troy Fire Department said they encountered a “heavy odor of natural gas” coming from the home and worked to turn off the utility to minimize further damages.

After a search of the home, firefighters rescued two cats from the residence.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Residents are urged to drive carefully when driving, especially in residential areas.
