1 injured as SUV slams into dog grooming business in Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. – A dog groomer business in Pinckney has extensive damage after an SUV drove into the building.

The incident, which took place on an otherwise ordinary Thursday (April 18) at 1 p.m. in the block of 139 North Howell Street, saw a 78-year-old woman from Saline accidentally drive her vehicle into the front of the building, causing a scene of unexpected chaos.

Officials say the vehicle struck a 56-year-old man who was an employee of the establishment.

The man sustained a minor injury and was released at the scene by Livingston County EMS.

Officials say the front door of the building sustained substantial damage, and the vehicle’s front end was damaged, making it undrivable.

Police are investigating the incident but said no major injuries were reported.
