Police seek witnesses in fatal shooting outside Inkster business

33-year-old man critically injured

INKSTER, Mich. – An early morning shooting at an Inkster business killed a 35-year-old man Friday, April 19.

It happened at about 1 a.m. at a strip mall on Henry Ruff Road, near Cherry Hill Road. Investigators spent hours at the scene overnight.

Police said responding officers found two men at the scene who had gunshot wounds. They were both rushed to a hospital, where one died from their injuries.

A 33-year-old man remains critically injured.

The investigation has been turned over from the Inkster Police Department to Michigan State Police. What led up to the shooting is currently unknown and authorities are looking for witnesses or anyone who may have information regarding the shooting.
