WARREN, Mich. – A Warren police officer suffered serious injuries during a fight at Lincoln High School.
The incident occurred on Monday (April 22) at 2:49 p.m. during dismissal when officials received several calls involving a large fight involving several people.

While arresting a man involved in the situation, officials say a girl interjected herself into the arrest and began assaulting a woman officer.
Police say the girl struck the woman officer in the head from behind, causing the woman to fall to the ground.
The scene caused more officers to arrive, which led to the girl’s arrest.
Officials say the woman was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital by Warren Fire Department personnel, where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
The injured officer is expected to be admitted for further medical evaluation as she possibly suffered a concussion during the assault.
Police say the people who were arrested were not students at Lincoln High School, but the girl involved was arrested and transported to the Warren Police Department for processing.
