STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – There are few Sterling Heights landmarks that are as well known as the controversial golden “Halo” sculpture.

The 35-foot ring resting on the median of Hall Road was unveiled just a few years ago, and has already become a staple of the city’s culture -- though, maybe for the wrong reasons. Some Metro Detroiters, whether lovingly or not, have dubbed it the golden “butthole.”

That’s pretty much how everyone refers to it now. (We asked around.)

We’re wondering: How do you feel about the Halo? Do you like it? Hate it? Not care?

Take the poll below!

We stopped in Sterling Heights this week for our latest installment of In Your Neighborhood.
