TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Michigan State Police Traverse City Post arrested two men for possession of methamphetamine, carrying machetes and drug pipes, amongst other things.
The incident occurred Wednesday (May 8) at 7:30 p.m. when MSP stopped their vehicle for an equipment violation on East Main Street in Kingsley.

The driver, who is a 56-year-old man from Traverse City, had an outstanding warrant out of Grand Traverse County for contempt of court stemming from a methamphetamine arrest.
Officials say during the search of the vehicle, drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, were found in various places.
The search also brought up the two large machetes near the driver and his backseat passenger, a 35-year-old man from Traverse City.
Officials say they also found suboxone strips were also seized from the driver and his passenger.
Police said they’ve arrested the 35-year-old man and his passenger, and they’re being charged in the Grand Traverse County Jail pending arraignment.
