MELVINDALE, Mich. – Police are searching for the suspect who was involved in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man in Melvindale.
The incident occurred on Thursday (May 9) at 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Seaway Drive and West Outer Drive when the suspect driving a red SUV fired shots into a Mercedes-Benz, killing the 20-year-old Detroit resident.

Officials say the Detroit resident was the lone occupant in the car.
Michigan State Police K-9 units were used for tracking, and Southgate, Dearborn, and Detroit assisted with drones as officials continued their search for the suspect.
