Bowlero is a bowling alley, party venue and sports bar, operating in Royal Oak. It has been operating since 1957.

Thunderbowl Lanes is the largest privately owned bowling center in the U.S., and has hosted major bowling events for years.

"The family would like to thank the bowling community, the City of Allen Park, the staff and the management of Thunderbowl lanes for all wonderful memories and we wish for many more to come with Bowlero,” the family said in a statement.

The deal is expected to be completed by June.
