PONTIAC, Mich. – Oakland County officials said a woman and a man were found dead over the weekend after a murder-suicide at a home.

Deputies said they were called around 5:35 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, to a home in the 1200 block of Maurer Avenue in Pontiac.

When they arrived, officials found a 33-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man lying in the hallway. They had died from gunshot wounds, police said.

The two had been involved in a domestic dispute, officials said.

Investigators determined that the man had killed the woman and then himself, according to a release from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

A handgun and two spent shell casings were found on the hallway floor.

The investigation is ongoing.
