EASTPOINTE, Mich. – An Eastpointe woman has been charged in connection with the stabbing of her boyfriend.
The alleged incident occurred on Monday (May 13) when Shantisha Howse, 26, stabbed her boyfriend multiple times in the torso after a quarrel in their Eastpointe home.

Officials say the victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Howse was charged with assault with intent to murder, a life felony. She was arraigned in 38th Eastpointe District Court, where her bond was set at $250,000 cash/surety.
If she is released, she must wear a GPS tether and have no contact with her boyfriend.
A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday (May 28) at 8 a.m., and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, at 8 a.m.
