Car smashes into Detroit liquor store, leaving huge holes in building

DETROIT – A car smashed into a Detroit liquor store overnight and left huge holes in the side of the building.

The crash happened at the Mr S Party Shop in the 12300 block of Morang Avenue on the city’s east side.

Aerial footage shows a silver car with front-end damage that apparently smashed into the building in two different spots.

In one spot, two poles between the parking lot and the sidewalk were flattened. The second hole in the building is about 10-15 feet away.

Detroit police were at the scene at 6:45 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, to investigate.

No information about this crash has been revealed.
