Law enforcement agencies collaborate to arrest 6 people in Macomb County human trafficking operation

Twelve people were arrested in total

The Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET), in a joint operation with the United States Customs and Border Protection, Sterling Heights Police Department, and FBI-Macomb, conducted a series of search warrants at two locations, one in Macomb Township and another in Shelby Township. (KPRC)

The Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET), in a joint operation with the United States Customs and Border Protection, Sterling Heights Police Department, and FBI-Macomb, conducted a series of search warrants at two locations, one in Macomb Township and another in Shelby Township.

The searches, which included 25 Health Spa in the 54798 block of Shelby Road in Shelby Township and Healing Plus Spa in the 39573 block of Mound Road in Sterling Heights, were conducted on Wednesday (May 29) at 7 a.m.

Officials say all search warrants were due to an alleged human trafficking operation where six people were arrested by the MCSO and six individuals were taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
