Fredrick Delano Logan, 30, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of felony firearm after he killed his brother during an argument over a dog.
The shooting happened at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, (May 25) at a home in the 33000 block of Saratoga Circle.
The mother of the brothers called 911 to report that her sons were in an argument that ended with Logan killing her 28-year-old Ricky Williams III.
Williams III was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Logan left the home before the police got there.
Officers, K9 teams, and multiple drones were used to search the area to no success.
He was later arrested in Warren after a brief chase.
Logan was charged in 47th District Court on Wednesday, May 29 where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf, and bond was denied.
A pre-exam conference is set for June 5 at 1:30 p.m.
