Metro Detroit drug bust results in seizure of $50K worth of drugs, stolen guns

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Michigan State Police seized nearly two pounds of methamphetamine and several stolen guns during a bust Thursday, May 30.

According to authorities, law enforcement executed search warrants in Detroit and Plymouth Township that resulted in the seizure of more than 1.6 pounds of methamphetamine, 277 suspected fentanyl pills, 30 grams of cocaine, nearly 300 grams of fentanyl, 45 grams of heroin, six guns and a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette.

Michigan State Police’s County of Macomb Enforcement Team were assisted by officers with the DEA, Plymouth Township police and the St. Clair County Drug Task Force.

Police said three of the guns recovered were stolen and that the value of the drugs is estimated to be about $50,000.

Two people were taken into custody and charges are pending.
