PONTIAC, Mich. – Two people were shot inside an Oakland County building with drugs strewn everywhere, police said.
Oakland County deputies were called at 10:52 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, to the Huron Plaza at 704 West Huron Street in Pontiac.
Officials said they saw several bullet holes in the front of a building.
When they went inside, they found a 23-year-old Pontiac man holding an AR-style rifle. Police told him to drop the gun, and he complied.

Deputies said they found shell casings in the street. Several cars in the parking lot had been damaged by stray bullets.
Inside the building, there were multiple shell casings and another loaded AR-style magazine.
A large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were strewn about the building in plain view, according to police. Officers believe the building was used as an after-hours meeting place.
