Officials say the Warren police and fire units were dispatched to the area where the victim was left unconscious and lying in the street after being kicked and stomped.

Police rendered first aid with the Warren Fire Department transporting him to a Metro Detroit hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Officials say the two men were seen entering a nearby residence after the assault, where a 32-year-old man was arrested without incident.

After performing a search warrant at the home to gather evidence, officials say they arrested the second man, a 34-year-old who is brother to the 32-year-old.

Officials say the 32-year-old and the victim argued over money before the critical assault.

The fight ensued between the two men when, at some point, the victim fell to the ground and proceeded to be stomped and kicked while in a defenseless position by both men as the 34-year-old exited a residence.

Several witnesses reported the brothers had delivered kicks and stomps to the upper body and head area of the victim.
