Man breaks into 3 different Detroit businesses to steal from cash registers

Police still searching for man

DETROIT – A man broke into three different Detroit businesses to steal money from the cash registers, police said.

The crime spree began around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024. Officials said the man broke into three businesses in the 2700 and 3400 blocks of East Jefferson Avenue.

He took money from the cash registers at all three businesses, officials said.

Police describe the man has having a thin build and a bald head. He was wearing a tan Detroit Tigers cap, a black surgical mask, a dark T-shirt, khaki shorts, and light blue and white tennis shoes.

Police are still searching for the man in the photos. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s 7th Precinct at 313-596-5740, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP to remain anonymous.
