Crushing incident leaves 20-year-old man with life-threatening injuries in Warren

A 20-year-old man has suffered life-threatening injuries after heavy machinery had fallen on him in Warren. (WDIV)

WARREN, Mich. – A 20-year-old man has suffered life-threatening injuries after heavy machinery had fallen on him in Warren.

The incident occurred on Friday (June 7) at 2 p.m. at DPR Manufacturing on Mound Road.

Personnel from the Warren Fire Department were directed to the man by employees and quickly determined that the employee was in cardiac arrest and had suffered other life-threatening crush injuries.

They performed life advanced life support procedures, including starting an I.V. and performing CPR.

Officials say the 20-year-old man was moved to a stretcher and transported to Ascension Macomb Oakland Hospital by the fire department personnel.

There is no word on his condition at this time.
