DETROIT – A stretch of the Southfield Freeway in Detroit was closed for hours Saturday, June 8, as police investigated a fatal shooting.
It happened in the northbound lanes of M-39, near I-96 at about 6 p.m. According to authorities, officers responding to the scene and found a 35-year-old man inside a car who had been shot. After performing CPR and giving aid, the victim was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The northbound lanes were closed for about four hours.
