Macomb County man accused of stealing $700 worth of bullets, breaking emergency exit

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 26-year-old man is facing multiple felonies after reportedly stealing bullets from a Chesterfield Township sporting goods store.

According to authorities, Erik Bronowski stole over $700 worth of ammunition from a Dunham’s store on Monday, June 10, and damaged an emergency exit running from an employee.

Bronowski was charged with possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, second-degree retail fraud and malicious destruction of a building less than $1,000. He was charged as a habitual fourth offender.

Bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety. He is expected to return to court June 20 for a probable cause hearing.
