6 shot at house party in Lathrup Village

Victims in late teens, early 20s

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. – Six people were shot at a house party in Lathrup Village.

The shooting happened Saturday, June 15, at 12:20 a.m. in the 17000 block of Margate Avenue.

Police said four people were shot and received non-life-threatening injuries. Two people were shot multiple times and are in critical condition at an area hospital. They are all expected to survive.

Lathrup Village police said all the victims are in their late teens and early 20s.

Police said the shooting didn’t stem from the house party, but that someone showed up and opened fire.
