Oakland County divers find body of missing teen 30 feet from shore at Camp Dearborn

Alhasan Dahbali, 17, found in six feet of water

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Hamtramck resident Alhasan Dahbali, 17, drowned while swimming at the public beach of Camp Dearborn in Milford Township.

Dahbali was reported missing Monday (June 17) around 1 p.m. when his group members could not locate him.

Officials say divers from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, along with other members of the Southeast Michigan Dive Group, including divers from Genesee, Livingston, and Wayne Counties, the Michigan State Police, and divers from the Huron-Clinton Metro Parks responded to the scene.

Dahbali’s body was found at 2:53 p.m. in six feet of water and about 30 feet from the shore.
