2 people unharmed after driver loses control, crashes into house in Waterford

There were no injuries reported

WATERFORD, Mich. – A car has crashed into a house in Waterford.

The crash, a sudden and unexpected occurrence, took place on Wednesday (June 19) after the car traveling westbound on Walton when reached a point where the road curved to the right.

Officials say the 30-year-old man lost control of the car, slammed into another car, and eventually crashed into the house.

Police said there were two people inside the home at the time of the crash, but amazingly, they were unharmed.

However, the crash caused by the 30-year-old man from Northville caused a gas leak, and crews eventually shut down the line until repairs could be made.

The driver was injured in the crash and transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where his condition is unknown at this time.

The road was shut down briefly for repairs and has since been reopened, but an investigation has ensued to determine what caused it.
