Motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV at Oakland County intersection

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A motorcyclist was killed overnight in a crash with an SUV at an Oakland County intersection.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Grand River Avenue in Farmington Hills.

Officers said the 32-year-old Redford Township man driving the motorcycle was taken to Corewell Hospital in Farmington Hills, where he died from his injuries.

The 21-year-old Novi man driving the Ford Explorer that collided with the motorcycle is cooperating with the investigation. He was released.

Officials don’t believe alcohol or drugs are factors in the crash.
