SAGINAW, Mich. – An illegal gambling operation was uncovered inside a Michigan bar, and the owners are now facing charges.
Officials from the Michigan Gaming Control Board and the Attorney General’s Office searched the Red Horse Bar in Saginaw the morning of June 5, 2024.
Officials said they confiscated six slot-style machines, $2,820 in gift cards, and $5,161 in suspected gambling proceeds.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board claims the owners of the bar, brothers Christopher and Nicholas Adams, failed to comply with a cease-and-desist letter, which led to the raid.
They were arraigned June 6 on felony gambling charges at 70th District Court in Saginaw. Both received a $6,000 personal bond.
A preliminary examination is scheduled for June 24.
