21 million Miniverse ‘Make It Mini’ toys recalled due to liquid resins

Liquid resins contain acrylates at levels that exceed safety standards for children

A massive recall involving miniature collectible toys popular with children and adults is in effect.

MGA Entertainment recalls 21 million Miniverse “Make It Mini” sets with liquid resins.

It has been found that the liquid resins in the Make It Mini sets contain acrylates at levels that exceed the safety standards for children in the United States and Canada, posing potential health risks such as skin burns, respiratory irritation, and even asthma.

When the resins are cured, they don’t present a hazard. But so far, people who’ve touched the liquid resin have reported 26 incidents, ranging from skin burns and irritation to respiratory irritation and even asthma triggering.

The recalled sets were sold by major retailers like Target, Walmart, Family Dollar, and more between October 2022 and June of this year.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advises immediate cessation of use for any sets with un-used resins.

Please contact MGA Entertainment for a refund or replacement, ensuring your safety and the safety of those around you.
