Newspaper delivery driver helps bust Michigan coffee shop burglar

JACKSON, Mich. – Police are crediting the community’s help with locating a suspect in a Jackson County coffee shop burglary.

According to authorities, a newspaper delivery driver notified police of a break-in at Cattleman’s Coffee in Grass Lake Township at about 3 a.m. Monday, June 24. When police arrived, they found the door was broken and contacted the business owners, who provided surveillance video of the suspect stealing cash from the register. With the help of local citizens, Michigan State Police troopers were able to locate the suspect.

The suspected burglar was taken into custody and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
