Michigan man caught moving crystal meth, crack cocaine, fentanyl, officials say

HOMESTEAD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Michigan man was caught moving a large amount of crystal meth, crack cocaine, and fentanyl, according to officials.

Detectives with the Traverse Narcotics Team said that on June 3, 2024, they stopped a vehicle suspected of transporting a large amount of narcotics in Homestead Township.

Benzie County deputies used a drug dog to search the vehicle and found 90 grams of crystal methamphetamine, nearly 10 grams of crack cocaine, and 31 grams of fentanyl, they said.

Michael Roberson, 26, of Grand Rapids, was taken into custody.

A large sum of cash was found on Roberson and in the car, officials said.

Roberson was arraigned June 11 at 85th District Court on charges of possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug vehicle.

He is being held on a $500,000 cash bond, or 10%.
