3 seriously hurt in crash at major Canton Township intersection

Police believe alcohol was factor in crash

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Three people are seriously injured after a crash overnight at a major Canton Township intersection.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Canton Center and Ford roads.

Officials said a 44-year-old Northville man was driving a black GMC Sierra north on Canton Center Road when he crashed into a black Mitsubishi Eclipse that was westbound on Ford Road.

The Northville man was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The 51-year-old Canton Township man driving the Eclipse and his passenger, a 49-year-old Canton Township woman, were also seriously injured.

Canton Township police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. They continue to investigate.
