Prosecutors focus on interrogations in Samantha Woll murder trial

Trial enters fourth week

DETROIT – When Detroit police detectives interrogated Michael Jackson-Bolanos last year, he repeatedly denied any involvement in a murder.

“I am not lying about no [expletive] murders, bro. I didn’t do nothing,” Jackson-Bolanos said.

Samantha Woll was found stabbed to death outside her Lafayette Park condo last October. Jackson-Bolanos was arrested a month later.

He’s now on trial for first-degree murder, home invasion and lying to a peace officer.

“I never went to nobody’s house, bro. Why did you try to make me think I went to somebody’s house?” he said.

The second time Jackson-Bolanos was interrogated, he once again reiterated his innocence.

“I don’t know this woman. I don’t know anything about this woman except when it popped up on the news, bro. That’s it. The only thing I know that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time,” he said.

Tiara White, who Jackson-Bolanos began dating last September, testified his demeanor and appearance the night that Woll was killed.

“When Mr. Jackson-Bolanos came home, did he appear to you to be covered in blood?” the defense asked.

“Not at all,” White responded.

“Did he appear to you look that he just got into an argument with someone or anything? Did anything appear different about him?” the defense asked.

“Not at all,” White said.

The trial will resume Tuesday morning.
