The crash happened early Saturday, June 29, near the intersection of 10 Mile and Dequindre roads.
According to authorities, two Warren police officers were on patrol on Eight Mile Road, near Mound Road, when they saw three Dodge Charges speeding in tandem, potentially racing. The police attempted a traffic stop for reckless driving and activated their lights, leading to one Charger pulling over and the other two speeding off.
Police said one of the Chargers struck a Jeep that was turning onto 10 Mile Road. A passenger in the Jeep, 42-year-old Katrina Michael, was killed.
Police said the pursuit was called off when the crash happened. It lasted three minutes.
James Hudson, a 26-year-old man from Pontiac who was allegedly driving the Charger that struck the Jeep, was taken into custody at the scene.
The man accused of driving the Charger that got away, Damaree Terry -- also a 26-year-old from Pontiac -- was taken into custody at his job in Auburn Hills.
Terry was charged Wednesday, July 3, with second-degree murder, first-degree fleeing and eluding, three counts of second-degree fleeing and eluding and three counts of reckless driving causing serious injury.
Hudson was arraigned on the same charges Tuesday, July 2.
