HAZEL PARK, Mich. – Two people were killed overnight in an Oakland County house fire.
Police said they received a call at 5:03 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, about a fire at a house in the 1500 block of East Muir Avenue in Hazel Park.
When police and firefighters arrived, they found a home on fire.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and found two people, ages 80 and 59, dead, according to authorities.
No foul play is suspected.
Detectives and a fire investigator from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
