BRIGHTON, Mich. – An armed, masked man got away Monday morning after robbing a hotel in Brighton.
Police were called around 1:20 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, to the Hampton Inn & Suites in Brighton.
Officials said a man had entered the hotel, walked into the bathroom, and then left the hotel. He returned armed and wearing a mask, police said.
The man went behind the front desk counter, where an employee was sitting. He opened the cash drawer, took money out, and left the hotel again, according to officials.
When police arrived, they checked on the worker and then began searching for the robber. He was not found.
The hotel employee was not injured, officials said.
The investigation continues.
