Macomb County police search for 2 men who injured an officer while fleeing from crime scene

Two of the three men were suspected of shoplifting $1,000 worth of merchandise from Walmart

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Police in Macomb County are asking for help in finding two men who injured an officer while fleeing from a crime scene.

Two of the three men were suspected of shoplifting $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Chesterfield Township Walmart on Monday (July 15) at 11 a.m.

Officials said when an employee recognized one of them from another theft, they called the Chesterfield Police Department, which was able to arrest one of the men.

The other two sped away in a 2017 Chevy Malibu with license plate #EVR4104.

In doing so, they struck a Chesterfield police officer. Local 4 was told their injuries were minor.
