Mother of 14-month-old-boy found dead inside Farmington Hills motel sentenced

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Amanda Jajou was sentenced to 15-60 years in the death of her 14-month-old boy in Farmington Hills.

Jajou was charged on Thursday (July 11) in Oakland County Court after her infant son was found dead at a Farmington Hills motel where her family was living back in 2021.

Officials said they were called to Motel 6 in the 38300 block of Grand River Avenue near Halsted Road around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2021, where relatives indicated concerns for 14-month-old Isaias Daniel Porras.

Officials say they found Porras dead inside the family’s room inside of the Motel 6.

Authorities said Porras’ parents, Isaias Aurelio Porras and Amanda Jajou, were arrested and arraigned at 47th District Court.

Porras was charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse.

Jajou, at the time, was charged with second-degree murder, second-degree child abuse, and accessory after the crime.
