Police search for man who assaulted 2 women in Monroe County

First assault occurred on July 15; Second assault occurred on July 17

MONROE COUNTY, Mich. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate assaults on women in Monroe County.

Officials say the first woman was assaulted during the early morning hours of July 15 in the area of Waterloo Park.

The second incident occurred late on July 17 in a wooded area along Frenchcreek in Meadowbrook Mobile Home Community.

Officials are trying to determine if the same man was responsible for both incidents.

Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough reminds citizens to remain aware of their surroundings and avoid being alone in dark, secluded areas.

The cases remain under investigation by Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau members.
