DETROIT – A 1-year-old girl who Detroit police issued an Amber Alert for overnight has been found safe.

An Amber Alert was issued for a 1-year-old girl who was abducted by four men who killed a person and fled the scene in Detroit.

Police said the abduction happened at 10:09 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the area of Compass Avenue and Littlefield Street on Detroit’s west side.

Four men pulled up in a newer, gray Dodge Durango and killed a man who was with the 1-year-old child and a woman, according to police.

They took the child and fled the scene, officials said. The child was found safe, but police are still searching for the vehicle. The license plate number is EAD 187.
