Police seeks gunman who shot into Van Buren Township home, injuring 1

VAN BUREN, Mich. – Police in Van Buren Township are looking for the person responsible for shooting up a home Saturday, July 20.

According to authorities, the shooting happened at about 11:30 p.m. at a home on Sheldon Road, just north of Ecorse Road. There were two adults and two children inside at the time of the shooting. Police said the suspect fired multiple shots through a bedroom window, striking a 34-year-old man several times.

The victim survived the shooting.

Police are still looking for the suspected gunman, but have since recovered his truck.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Van Buren Township Department of Public Safety at 734-699-8930.
