DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Police Department will present the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office with its findings into the high-speed fatal crash that occurred on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Nowlin Street.
Officials announced on Wednesday (July 24) that they’re awaiting a full toxicology report before submitting their findings to the prosecutor’s office for review.

Dearborn police confirmed the crash on July 19, 2024, which occurred when a 26-year-old woman from Taylor, driving an SUV, failed to stop at a traffic light while traveling at a speed over 100 mph on Michigan Avenue and struck a Ford F150 truck traveling northbound on Nowlin Street.
Officials said the driver of the F150, a 33-year-old woman resident of Dearborn, was killed in the crash.
The Taylor resident was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital by the Dearborn Fire Department for treatment of injuries sustained from the crash, and she remains hospitalized as of Wednesday, July 24.
