Police seek help identifying suspect who shot, killed 24-year-old man in Detroit

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking assistance from the community regarding the homicide of 24-year-old Lance Avery.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 29, at 12:54 a.m. on the roadway near Third Street and Gladstone avenues when Avery was fatally shot.

Officials said they made the location and observed Avery, who had been shot multiple times as he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
