Lake Orion man receives 25-60 years for raping, assaulting ex with baseball bat during home invasion

Incident occurred on July 31 and Aug. 1, 2023

Lake Orion resident Adam Richards Williams, 35, received 26-50 years in prison on Monday, July 22, for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and raping and beating her with a baseball bat.

Lake Orion resident Adam Richards Williams, 35, received 26-50 years in prison on Monday, July 22, for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and raping and beating her with a baseball bat.

Williams was charged with 1st degree home invasion, four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and aggravated domestic violence on Aug. 17, 2023. The initial incident occurred on July 31 and Aug. 1, 2023.

“This was a horrific crime,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “My top priorities are public safety and holding violent criminals accountable, and I am so proud of the work of my Special Victims Unit and Chief Sarah Greene. I also applaud Judge Rowe’s decision, which will keep our community safe from this dangerous predator and will hopefully provide the victim with some peace, knowing that this defendant will not be able to victimize her or others.”
