FRANKFORT, Mich. – Three people from Wayne, Macomb, and Isabella counties are splitting a $697,000 Michigan Lottery win.

The trio matched the Fantasy 5 numbers from the July 12 drawing: 08-17-18-24-29. They’re splitting $697,974, so each person gets $232,658.

David Constantakis, 68, of Wayne County, bought his winning ticket at Family Fare on Forest Avenue in Frankfort.

“I was on vacation in Frankfort and bought a few Fantasy 5 tickets when I stopped at the store to get snacks for our canoe trip,” Constantakis said. “I took the tickets back to the store after the drawing and scanned them. I got a message to see the retailer on one of them, so my wife pulled up the winning numbers online and read them off.

“When she got to the last two numbers, she said, ‘If we have 24 and 29, we are going to be sitting pretty.’ When I looked down at the ticket and confirmed those were my last two numbers, I was in awe.”

Constantakis visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. He said he plans to pay off his home, donate money, and save the rest of his winnings.

The Macomb County winner chose to remain anonymous. She bought her ticket at Groesbeck & Elizabeth Petro in Clinton Township.

The Isabella County winner also remained anonymous. She bought her ticket online.
