CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Canton Township woman was badly hurt by a car while she was crossing Michigan Avenue.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Haggerty Road in Canton Township.
Police said a 39-year-old Canton Township woman was crossing Michigan Avenue when she was struck by a silver Acura.
She was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The Acura was driven by a 21-year-old Detroit man. He was heading west on Michigan Avenue.
Police don’t believe alcohol was a factor for the driver.
The crash remains under investigation.
