Woman charged with attempted murder in Macomb County domestic violence case

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 34-year-old woman from Detroit is facing more than a dozen charges after reportedly shooting a gun during an argument with her boyfriend in Eastpointe.

According to authorities, Tiana Luckett was arguing with her boyfriend when it escalated into a physical fight on July 25. Luckett reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed at her boyfriend before getting a gun and firing a shot at him. He was not hit, but the bullet did go into their neighbor’s apartment, which had two people inside.

Lucket was charged Friday, July 26, with assault with intent to murder, discharge of a firearm inside a building, assault with intent to great bodily harm less than murder, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, careless discharge of a firearm, domestic violence, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and six counts of felony firearm.

Luckett was charged as a habitual second offender and her bond was set at $750,000 cash/surety. Her next court date is Aug. 6.
