MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Macomb County woman wasn’t even aware that she had entered a lottery drawing, but an email in her spam folder showed she had won over $200,000.

The 54-year-old woman said she didn’t realize that she had earned entries into a July 9 random drawing by playing BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot games online.

When she checked her spam folder, she was surprised to see she had won $207,199.

“I didn’t know that by playing certain games online I was earning entries into a second chance drawing, so I was confused when I came across an email from the Michigan Lottery in my spam folder saying I’d won a $207,199 (prize),” she said. “After looking into it, I figured out how I had earned the entries, and then I checked three different times to make sure the email was real. This win is so exciting and couldn’t have come at a better time.”

She visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim her prize and chose to remain anonymous. She said she plans to pay bills and invest.
