MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Macomb County man has been convicted of severely injuring his 11-week-old son.

Officials said Adam Doe, 36, hurt his son on Feb. 22, 2024. The child had multiple severe brain injuries and fractures, prosecutors said.

“Our hearts go out to the young victim and his family, who have endured unimaginable pain and suffering,” Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said.

Doe was charged with first-degree child abuse and convicted by a Macomb County jury on Friday, July 26, after a three-week trial.

He was remanded to the Macomb County Jail after his conviction. Sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 18.

“This conviction brings some measure of justice for the severe injuries inflicted upon this innocent child,” Lucido said. “We hope this verdict provides a sense of closure and reassurance that such actions will not go unpunished in our society.”
