What we know about death of 6-year-old boy in Oakland County

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – Police are investigating after a 6-year-old boy was found dead in Oakland County.

The discovery was made at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at a mobile home community in the 25000 block of Dequindre Road in Madison Heights.

Firefighters and police went to a home and found a 6-year-old boy who wasn’t breathing and had several physical injuries.

He was taken to Ascention Macomb-Oakland Hospital and then transferred to Children’s Hospital. He died from his injuries.

Two people were arrested.

Police don’t believe there’s any danger to the public.
