Sterling Heights boy gets boost of confidence with new ‘Hero Arm’

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A 9-year-old boy in Sterling Heights has a new bionic arm.

Keegan Kozicki received his Hero Arm last weekend thanks to the Lucky Fin Project and donations from the community.

Kozicki was born with an underdeveloped arm.

For most of his life, he used a more basic prosthetic. The Hero Arm will allow him to take his abilities to a new level.

“I’ve seen it change his life already just in the week that we’ve had it,” Keegan’s mom Erica Kozicki said.

There’s a learning curve, but every day Kozicki can do something he couldn’t the day before.

“I’m excited to show my friends,” Kozicki said.
